Patricia Matzke has been an Occupational Therapist for over 30 years. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and her Master's degree in Allied Health Education from Southwest Texas State University. She has had a private pediatric practice in Plano since 1982. In addition to her experience in working with children with a wide range of developmental disorders through her private practice, she has consulted with agencies serving infants, agencies serving adults with developmental disabilities, and many public and private schools in the area.

Pat participates in ongoing research regarding sensory processing disorders in children with hearing impairments and cochlear implants.  Pat has taught educational and informative classes to parents, teachers, and therapists, and has taught courses in pediatric Occupational Therapy at the university level.

Pat has received extensive training and knowledge regarding children with Sensory Processing Disorders. She incorporates this into her therapy sessions as well as providing information to the families of her clients. Specialized training and certifications include:

Pat and her husband, Doug, are originally from Wisconsin, but they have lived in Plano for over 30 years. They have two daughters:  Amy, who is a computer software engineer, and  Katie, who is a registered nurse.
